It didn’t stop journalist Philip Siani, 37, from crying at the altar during his wedding to fellow journalist Marie Palma, 33. They married this afternoon, on a farm in Itatiba, a city within São Paulo.
In a video posted on Instagram by photographer Caio Lanziani, Philippe Ciani stands at the altar next to Marie Palma and cries when she hears the message of love announced by Justice for Peace.
“Ring of Friends, a song by the Beatles, shrimp in a pumpkin is the same thing that allows the island to fall in love with the waves and discover that she has been alone all along, because she has never seen the sea for company,” he began.
“What they feel about each other is capable of turning happiness into fireworks, filling the eyes of viewers from afar, and making the whole world feel the same,” he added.
With tears in his eyes, the journalist still received a kiss on the shoulder from Mari Palma as they continued to listen to the judge’s message.
“I say I saw it because from the first day I was there, I, Love, the author of this letter, accompany you. Today, I have come to tell you to marry someone who says goodbye with his eyes, says hello with smiles, with whom you expect nothing in return, who you give up With him without fear and daydreaming with you. Marry someone who caresses your picture, with someone who paints a future with you in expressive lines,” concluded the judge.
The ceremony and the party in the open sky was prepared to receive 600 guests to celebrate the Syndicate of Journalists.
According to videos from friends of the couple on social networks, she arrived at the wedding in a blue truck and went down to the altar accompanied by her nephew Dom. The journalist’s brothers, Luiz Palma Jr. and Leonardo Palma, welcomed her to take her into the hands of Philip Siani.
The journalist’s nephew even came bearing a plaque in honor of Marie Palma’s father, Mr. Luis Palma – who died last year. Some balloons bearing Louise’s name were also released into the sky during the ceremony.
In January 2021, the journalist announced her engagement to Siani and presented the details of the marriage proposal on her YouTube channel. On this occasion, the presenter was inspired by the proposal of two characters from the series “Friends”, Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courtney Cox).
The bride asked the guests to wear sneakers
Apparently, Marie Palma – known for her casual looks, especially in the midst of the TV press dress code – would have encouraged the guests to go to the party whenever they wanted. Actress Pri Sol and influencer Hariana Meinke, for example, have appeared in sneakers, and have also appeared on social media.
The celebration takes place on a farm with preserved ruins
In March, the bride and groom posted photos of a crumbling, exposed brick space, suggesting this would be a “yes” place.
We stopped, looked at each other with a smile and said, ‘Hey, do you realize this is where we’re getting married? “. I don’t know how the day will go, but I am sure that every time I stop and look away, I will find the love of my life and my best friend,” the journalist wrote, posting a photo of the couple in place.
The beginning of the relationship
Marie Palma and Felipe Siani met when they were working at TV Globo. The relationship took a while to start due to the busy routine of each one inside the station.
“We started dating around 2017, at that time, I was working at ‘G1 em 1 Minuto’ and I had a set schedule, which is a rarity among journalists…and Pheline didn’t have a schedule,” Mary, began posting the video to Your YouTube channel.
“How was your life, Siani?” I asked. He replied with a humorous tone: “What life? Every day was a stream, and that’s how life went.”
“It was very difficult to make a date at the time because of our mixed schedules. He had to fit in. We often saw each other during the week to eat something… Plus, there was another issue: shifting,” she recalled.
According to Marie Palma, once the relationship was publicly assumed, in June 2017, she took Syani’s shift schedule, joined her and tried to count the number of weekends they would spend together in the year.
He commented, “I remember when I finished the spreadsheet, I said, ‘Man, I started dating him and I’d have, I don’t know, three free weekends.
After that, Felipe explained that the scales were different, as Marie worked in the digital sector and worked in television. “It’s just different, the breaks are different. It was very difficult to reconcile.”
Currently, the couple has left TV Globo and is working together on CNN Brasil.
