With CR7 on the bench, Manchester United disappoint and beat Liverpool in the English language

Manchester United have been disappointed with style in the Premier League. The team beat rivals Liverpool 2-1 at home this afternoon and added their first three points in the tournament.

Sancho scored the home team’s two goals, still in the first 15 minutes of the match, and Rashford, already in the second half, after a strange mistake from Henderson. Salah, who was already in the last part of the confrontation, scored for the visitors and became the top scorer of the classics.

As a result, United tied Aston Villa in the table and closed the third round in 14th place. On the other hand, Liverpool is still without a win and is in 16th place – two draws and one defeat.

Amidst the uncertainty over his future, Cristiano Ronaldo started the classic English game on the home team’s bench. He entered only in the 40th minute of the second half, when the match was already 2-1, and was conservative on the field.

If the situation of the Portuguese is uncertain, the same does not apply to Casemiro: shortly before the match, the defensive midfielder was introduced to the fans inside Old Trafford. The Brazilian raised a shirt bearing his name and won the approval of the public. The athlete should make his debut next weekend with his new teammates.

The two teams will return to play next Saturday (27) for the English Championship. United faces Southampton away, while Liverpool hosts Bournemouth at Anfield.

United crushes and scores the goal

Desperate to add their first points in the Premier League, the hosts began the match by assessing possession of the ball and trying to break through the opponent’s defence.

Eriksen was the first to scare a free kick in the seventh minute. Soon, McTominay gave a beautiful deep throw to Bruno Fernandes: the Portuguese stretched and earned a diagonal touch, with a buggy, for Ilanga, who took off Alisson and sealed Liverpool’s center.

With plenty of hits, United got the goal in the 15th minute. In a left-built play, Elanga rode with Eriksen and crossed low to Sancho. With plenty of rating, the striker threatened to kick and leave both Milner and Alisson on the ground when stomping the ball. Quietly he finished and opened the score: 1 to 0.

Washing soiled clothes in the field

The goal angered Milner. After being hit and dribbled by Sancho, the midfielder got furious with… Defender Van Dijk.

As the United Athletes celebrated the goal, the Liverpool players “washed dirty” and argued on the pitch, in a moment captured by broadcast cameras.

Milner indicated that he did not like his colleague’s position on the play’s origin. The Dutchman, in turn, spoke very little with his comrade.

Liverpool’s response is almost chaotic

Even the hosts freaked out after ten minutes – again with Eriksen with a free kick – but saw Liverpool neutralize offensive action and take control of the match.

Even with possession, only Klopp’s team managed to attack, right up to the break, at the dead ball: and with “a little help” from the opponent.

After a corner kick, Milner’s header weakly, and when the ball was heading to the baseline, Bruno Fernandes tried to push away and kicked his own net. Fortunately for United, Lisandro Martinez was on the line and stopped the equalizer.

Henderson misses, Rashford gets punished

United reached the second goal seven minutes into the final with a mistake by one of the visiting team’s symbols.

Henderson, who was practically alone in his defensive midfield, slid backwards as he tried to control a high ball. Best for Martial, who came forward and fired Rashford.

After eight months without scoring the English, the striker did not hesitate, came face to face with Alisson, and shook the opponent’s net: 2-0.

Incidentally, the number 10 shirt expanded almost immediately after, but he saw the Brazilian goalkeeper make a beautiful save. In the 30th minute, Rashford lined up with the defenders and narrowly missed the goal.

Salah reignites Liverpool, but…

Liverpool managed to respond definitively only in the 35th minute of the final stage. In blow after corner kick, the young Fabio Carvalho was received inside the area and hit hard at De Gea’s goal, who shone when he made a handball.

On the rebound, Al Masry managed to be faster than the opponents and netted the home team with a header. In addition, the striker became the top scorer in the history of the classics with ten goals.

However, Salah’s goal was the last in the match until the final whistle – there was still time for Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Rashford. However, the Portuguese failed to produce any relevant play.
