The Brazilian football transfer window is over. After a disappointing start to the season, Santos sought to take advantage of this period to reorganize his squad with both arrivals and departures.
Coach Lesca saw eight players leave the team, but four more arrived. Among the reinforcements, there are well-known names in the crowd, such as Soteldo, or a bet coming from a competitor, as with Luan. Check the moves.
After a long wait, Alvenegro fans Praiano celebrated the first signing of the window on August 5th. The first to sign was right-back Nathan. The 20-year-old signed a contract valid until the end of 2026.
The defender was revealed in Vasco’s basic categories and moved to Boavista in 2020, without even having to play in Carioca’s professional squad. In the Portuguese national team, he scored 49 matches, with one goal and three assists.
The next day, Santos announced Luan’s arrival. The attacking midfielder was leaning on Corinthians and arrived at Villa Belmeiro on loan until the end of the Brazilian Championship, with the option to renew for another season.
The 29-year-old featured a Grêmio shirt. He led the team to the 2016 Copa Brasil, the 2017 Copa Libertadores, the 2018 Recopa Sud Americana and the Gaúcho Championship twice between 2018 and 2019.
The Timão midfielder was announced in December 2019, but he was disappointed. In all, there were 79 matches for the white jersey, in which he participated in 48 matches, and nine goals.
On the eleventh, there was good news for Peixe fans. The club agreed to rent Iverson Sutildo on loan. The attacking midfielder is appointed by Tigres, of Mexico, until July 2023. The contract also includes a buy-and-hold option and a fixed pass at the end of the contract.

The 30-year-old arrives in Peixe almost a year and a half later wearing the colors of the Argentine club. This season, he has already participated in 29 matches, of which he started in 26. In this period, he scored three goals and made two assists.
Santos has also suffered several losses in this transfer window. The first to be traded was the young Gabriel Pirany. The 20-year-old midfielder didn’t get many chances and ended up on loan to Cuiaba. The agreement is valid until the end of the current season.
Three other athletes on loan are Jobson, Lucas Lourenco and Willian Maranhão, all through the end of the year. The first adds only three games per season and has been transferred to Náutico. The second, in turn, reached Peixe in 2018, but only participated in 34 matches. The last time he was on the field with the team was in May 2021.
Maranhão in details of agreeing to his return to Atlético-GO. The player, who had already traveled to Goiânia, was signed at the end of March. Since then, he has played only nine matches in the white shirt, of which he started in five. He has a contract with Alfinegro Praiano until the end of 2024.
Emiliano Velasquez, in turn, left without cost. Unhappy with the lack of a sequence, the Uruguayan defender asked to anticipate the end of the relationship with Alfinegro Praiano, which will last until December 2022.
The defender was signed at the end of August 2021, after a spell at Spain’s Rayo Vallecano. In all, the 28-year-old has worn the white jersey in 27 matches, his first being in 21 matches.
Who also finished was Ricardo Goulart. The contract of the attacking midfielder was valid until the end of 2023. To reach an amicable agreement with the club, he gave up all the values that he had to receive until the end of this period.
The 31-year-old athlete arrived in Peixe in great stature. Taking over the club’s historic No. 10 shirt, he was seen as the great hope of the season, but was disappointed. He said goodbye after 30 games, four goals and three assists.
