The Nothing Phone 1, from the manufacturer Nothing, made waves in the international market. The phone grabs attention with LED lights that can be customized in different ways to respond to different stimuli. In addition, the device is still leaving the factory with Android 12 and promised an updated operating system for four years. The phone was launched in black and white colors in the UK market, part of Europe and other places around the world.

The highlight of Nothing Phone 1 is the design. The phone comes with stripes of light on the back which is the most eye-catching feature of the device. It flashes in groups that the company calls “glyphs.” In total, there are 20 types divided into two groups, each of which is associated with a corresponding sound – that is, 10 avatars for notifications and another 10 for ringtones.

The feature is intriguing, as it allows customizing the device’s LED lights. Regarding the display, the smartphone has good numbers for an average technical sheet. The device features a 6.55-inch screen with Full HD resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120Hz, which should be ideal for playing movies and videos. Furthermore, the phone offers a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, which makes it usable even in direct sunlight.

The main rear camera is a 50MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture that includes optical image stabilization. The other rear camera is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 lens slot. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.45 aperture.

The Nothing Phone 1 datasheet tends to perform well for everyday tasks. Among the specifications are the Snapdragon 778G Plus processor, a Qualcomm octa-core chip with a speed of up to 2.1GHz, and 8GB or 12GB of RAM. As for storage, there are two options, 128GB and 256GB, without memory card support.

In terms of battery, the model includes a component of 4500 mAh. With this capacity, the device is expected to stay out of sockets for an entire day. Also, the phone does not come with a charger.

Nothing Phone 1 actually comes with Android 12 which is out of the box. Google’s operating system allows you to use features such as screen recording, scrollable screenshot, bubble notifications, and increased data protection.

The smartphone also has access to the 5G network, intended to connect to the future, which is implemented in Brazil. The predictions are that 5G will bring the internet up to 50 times faster than what is currently there. It is worth noting that since the device was not launched in Brazil, it is clear that it has not been approved by Anatel.

As for the features, the device has facial recognition and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It also features NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity.
