Meat, 3600 R$ in cash, 1 kg of “Dream Dream of Waltz” bonbons and a frozen placenta: this is what they took from the family home of Paula Roseng, 25, yesterday morning in the municipality of Morro da Fumaça (SC)) . The graphic designer, who lives with her parents and 3-year-old daughter downtown, wakes up to a messy kitchen and a searched suitcase — and is surprised to discover it’s been stolen.
She said in an interview with UOL. “In my house, the kitchen is a small house, and we also left my car and my father’s car nearby. When my mother woke up, she saw that everything was different and the cars opened in the morning.”
Paula’s mother was the first to see that the house had been invaded and that all things had been overturned. “She saw the bag on the floor, she saw my dad’s wallet too. They just took the retirement money, which is no longer there. However, the cards remained. They didn’t take anything other than that.” In total, the money earned by the designer’s parents was 3,500 R$.
Paula says she was surprised by the movement in the house, because the invaders also gained access to her computer, which is in the car. “They didn’t take my bag with me notebook It was on the floor, not my cards, but they took the 4 riyals I had in coins. And theFrom inside the prospectus, there is also another 100 Brazilian reals in the currency.”
Upon investigating what has been lost, Paula’s mother notices the food has gone missing.
“My mother had left some meat to thaw, and when she opened the refrigerator, she saw that it was no longer there. The frozen meat was also gone.”
Confusion between placenta and meat
Paula explains that the family still keeps another fridge, located on the outside of the cycle, where they keep a little used food — and they keep the placenta. “There was a chester that my mom got and he was there, and he also disappeared with a packet of ham. Then my mom saw that my placenta, which was in the ice cream jar, had been taken.”
The designer says that she left the organ in the freezer because the intention was to transplant it to her daughter, luisathey grow up.
“I even forgot about the placenta. I wanted to save it so that when we get older we will implant together, so you can understand more about this pregnancy process that was so important to my life. It was a transformation, a moment to look at the baby through other people’s eyes.”
According to Paula, the placenta was red, which she believes confused the invaders. “I think they mistook it for meat. They saw it as red and took it. I still think, ‘Did they want to find beans or ice cream?'” “
In addition to the food, the family also noticed that inside the laundry basket were towels, sheets, and winter jackets – things they thought would also be stolen, but which ended up being left behind.
Paula said the family did not hear any noise in the surroundings during the night, but that at least two neighbors reported that their home had been broken into at the same dawn. However, since they had no meat at the time of the robbery, nothing was taken. “They screwed everything up,” he says.
The story was shared on Twitter and the designer kept joking about the situation. “What a depression. They stole the meat in the freezer, including the placenta that was in the frozen jar of ice cream, to grow it someday. How sad, I’m going to make another baby grow the placenta.”
Despite the joke, Paula said she was considering stealing. “The first moment I saw that they had taken food and a jacket, I thought: ‘Look at the situation our country is in, they looked at my notebook and didn’t like it. They just wanted food and warm clothes.”
The family filed a police report. to me UOLThe Santa Catarina Civil Police stated that an “investigation was launched on Friday (12)” and that they were “taking the necessary measures to clarify the truth.”
