What’s new in Android 13?

Among the major novelties introduced by Android 13 is the enhancement of the security and privacy features of the system. The highlight was the new photo picker, ‘Photo Picker’, which will allow you to share media without necessarily granting access to apps via the user gallery.

In addition, there will be a new menu focused on privacy, security, and permissions tools, in order to make it easier to access. The new OS will also sound an alert every time the app accesses something on the device, even in the background.

Also, Material You, Google’s new design language, will introduce some changes. App icons can be changed, for example, based on the wallpaper the user chooses. New 3D wallpapers and new resolutions to save battery will also be included.

Another long-awaited feature of Android 13 is the ability to choose the language of each application, without having to rely on the language selected by default on the phone. There will also be a new screensaver, QR Code shortcut, automatic one-hour clipboard data deletion, and Internet speed control.
