66′ Thuram is pretty much separated from the ball on the right – that gives a free kick! However, the ball kicked by Bensebaini lands in the Bielefeld defense and not in the goal.

63′ Koné forced his way through the Bielefeld defense but didn’t catch the ball hard enough to land the ball in the Bielefeld goalkeeper.

11′ Stindl takes Borussia’s first shot on goal! However, the ball misses the goal and lands to the left of Bielefeld’s penalty area.

ten’ First good scene of the foals! Plea sets up superbly on the left then kicks the ball in the middle to Herrmann, who doesn’t catch the ball properly which is why the luck is extinguished.

7′ Lasme recovers the ball from Hack from the right wing and reaches the end. But again, there is no goal.

3′ In the first minutes, Bielefeld presented himself as very offensive and enthusiastic. Borussia are currently thwarting attacking efforts. Nevertheless: today’s test match should demand a little more from the foals than the game against Oldenburg on Saturday.

2′ Consbruch ends immediately for the guests, but without success.

1′ Kick off! The game is on!

Kick off!

1:58 p.m.: The referee of the game is Robin Braun. He already has 16 Second Division appearances.

1:49 p.m.: Unlike the test against Oldenburg, U23 striker Semir Telelovic is not in the VfL squad this time. Yvandro Borges Sanches is also out again with a hip flexor injury.

1:42 p.m.: Also on the Borussia bench: vice-world champion Marcus Thuram, who has not yet played for Borussia after the World Cup either.

1:35 p.m.: For goalkeeper Yann Sommer, this is the first assignment for the colts after participating in the World Cup with Switzerland. Nathan N’Goumou, who had to miss the last test due to an eye infection, is also used this time.

10:51 a.m.: The last meeting between VfL and Arminia took place on February 5, 2022 at the Bielefelder Alm as part of the Bundesliga and ended in a 1-1 draw. Fohlenelf won the first leg at Borussia-Park by a clear margin of 3:1.

9:46 a.m.: Coach Daniel Farke (46) does not want to underestimate the test against the second division team. “We built the physical substance at the beginning, whereas now we work more tactically in detail,” he says. “Friendlies are definitely the focus now and will have a special meaning. Because it’s about finding the starting line-up for the Championship.”

8:43 a.m.: Although not so long ago both teams were at home in the Oberhaus, the Foals and Arminen are worlds apart. After 15 matchdays in the Bundesliga, Borussia is eighth in the standings.
